Paper Bag Princess

This show is inspired by the brilliance of Robert Munch, whose delightful book of the same title teaches us how to achieve personal success. In that story there are three characters, but we needed more parts and so I let my imagination run away with my actors and came up with this version. It is a delight and my life’s joy to write for and work with young actors. Thank you so much for sharing yours with me.

Clearing Customs

It is my joy to share the gift of theatre with young people and I am always inclined to encourage their writing and creative input. This show was created from six questions I asked each actor and their quest to find a Canadian they would want to portray on stage. I am incredibly proud of each individual, their ideas and the contributions they brought to the work. We hope you enjoy Clearing (Canadian) Customs!

DOGS

Sometimes, in theater, we get lucky and do a show just because it’s fun. Such is the case with this one and its amazing cast, we’ve had a great time and I am SO proud of each actor. I wrote this show as a love letter to all dogs, to help spread the word about animal cruelty and the SPCA–while the message is there, it’s hidden in between giggles and puns and sung with beautiful voices.
