Chester Summer Theatre School will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream from
August 11th to 14th 2010

The theatre school will take place from Monday July 19th to Sat. Aug 14th

A Midsummer Night’s Dream defines the phrase “magical romp.” One of William Shakespeare’s most popular comedies it is stuffed full of hilarious clowns, Faerie magic and star crossed love gone wrong.

Join The Lovers- Hermia, Helena, Lysander, and Dimitrius, as they endure the craziest night of their lives. The Mechanicals- crude workmen set with the task of putting on a play for Duke Thesius.
The Faeries- Oberon, Titania, Puck and a host of forest spirits who’s warring and dirty tricks will leave, The Lovers confused, and the Mechanicals leading man with a Donkey’s head.

The script has been adapted for students by Marty Burt and will feature new movement and music by Mary Lou Martin and Lisa St Clair. It has a large number of great classic roles and will be a beautiful introduction for young people to the greatest English playwright of all time.
