Xara Choral Theatre, May 14th 2016, 7:30 pm

The Xara Choral Theatre brings its trademark mix of integrative arts to the Chester Playhouse on May 14th, 2016 at 7:30pm.

Founded in 2007 by Christina Murray and Claire Leger, Xara Choral Theatre is reinventing what a choir is one show at a time, with a cast of young women trained in the arts of telling stories through song and dance. Past Xara performances have elaborate sets, costumes, dynamic lighting and puppetry to invoke their story’s message.

The ensemble represented Canada at the Festival 500 in 2011.  They have had appearances at the Atlantic National Event of the Truth and the Reconciliation Commission of Canada.

The Xara Choral Theatre Ensemble has became one of the top women’s choirs in all of Canada, winning praise and fandom worldwide.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students. Doors open at 7:00 pm.

Tickets are available online at our website www.chesterplayhouse.ca or by calling (902) 275-3933 or toll free at 1 (800) 363-7529. For more information on this and any other performances, contact the Chester Playhouse.
