“…Erin Costelo seems destined to establish herself alongside the top tier of today’s most expressive soulful singers.” –PASTE Magazine
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, award-winning Nova Scotia artist and producer Erin Costelo will perform a love letter to one of the most beloved albums in history: Carole King’s “Tapestry”. In addition to performing her take on the classic songs of this album (“”Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” “You’ve Got A Friend”, “Natural Woman”), Erin will showcase her album We Can Get Over in an opening set. Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, We Can Get Over draws from classic singer-songwriter records of the ‘60s and ‘70s to build a warm, intimate atmosphere that harboured songs about those things in life worth fighting for: love, freedom, hope. Its writing was highly inspired by the songwriting of Carole King, making it a perfect fit to complete this evening of soulful songs.
A musical triple threat, the Nova Scotia native has numerous awards to her credit as an artist, songwriter and producer. Her records have received critical acclaim and extensive airplay in Canada, the US and Europe. She has worked with Dr. John, Boz Scaggs, Matt Anderson and Joel Plaskett, just to name a few. In October she accepted the position of Producer for East Coast Music Hour – CBC Radio, and looks forward to highlighting fellow Atlantic Canadian artists.
This Valentine’s Day, treat that special someone to an evening of incredible, soul-filled music with Erin Costelo.
