Join us for a soulful evening of jazz, blues, and contemporary soul with one of the East Coast’s hottest emerging performers, Owen “O’Sound” Lee!

With a voice that calls to mind the great Sam Cooke and a songwriting talent all his own, Owen ‘O’Sound’ Lee is a musician, songwriter, vocal arranger, and producer from Toronto, Ontario. Owen grew up singing in church, and studied Vocal Performance Jazz at York University.  Since relocating to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2014, Owen has shared the stage and collaborated with numerous critically-acclaimed artists such as Mariah Carey, Jordin Sparks, Drake, Jully Black, and Kardinal Offishall to name a few.

He is currently the Minister of Music at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Upper Hammonds Plains, the Program Coordinator of the African Nova Scotian Music Association (ANSMA), and the former Musical Director of the Nova Scotia Mass Choir (2014-2019). You may have caught his incredible set at the TD Halifax JazzFest 2021.  Most recently, he was nominated for the 2021 African Canadian Artist of the Year, and Hip Hop Recording of the Year for the East Coast Music Association. He also won Single of The Year for the 2021 African Nova Scotian Music Association.
