Alan Syliboy and The Thundermakers

June 22
Alan Syliboy and The Thundermakers return for another powerful and inspiring performance on stage at your Chester Playhouse!

Alan Syliboy is an established Mi’kmaq artist, writer, and musician. He was born in Truro and lives at Millbrook First Nation. An influential artist in numerous fields, Alan has built an ever-growing list of accomplishments throughout his lifetime, although many people are most familiar with his beautiful and unique works of art that captivate and inspire us.

After decades of creation in many places, painter, illustrator, film animator, and musician Alan Syliboy presents Alan Syliboy and The Thundermakers, involving a large group of musicians from many horizons. His band includes Evan Syliboy on lead guitar, Lukas Pearce, bassist, and sound designer and video mapping projectionist, Joanne Hatfield on vocals, guitar, flute, piano, and percussion, Matt Gallant on the drum kit, Hubert Francis on guitar and vocals, and Aaron Prosper on vocals and percussion, as well as group leader, percussionist, and storyteller Alan Syliboy. With influences from blues, rock, and traditional songs, Alan Syliboy and The Thundermakers create a moving, transformative musical experience that is uniquely theirs.

The Thundermakers gave a powerful, inspiring performance and had a full house dancing in their seats in their 2022 performance at the Chester Legion; we can only imagine the magic that will happen in the new state-of-the-art Playhouse Theatre!
