Comedy Night in Chester!

with host Clare Belford, Clifton Cremo, Adam Myatt, and Dan Hendricken

March 23
Welcome spring with laughter when four of the funniest East Coast comedians take the stage for Comedy Night in Chester! on March 23rd.

Our Comedy Night in Chester! host Clare Belford is a strikingly sincere comedian. Early in her comedy tenure, she cut her teeth on the road all over her home province of Alberta, telling deeply personal jokes to crowds of drunk tradesmen, from Fort McMurray to Red Deer. She quickly moved to the home of the nation’s largest and most competitive comedy scene, Toronto, where she spent five years honing her craft, and establishing herself as a fixture in Canadian comedy.

These days, Clare continues to make waves, bringing her authentic delivery and unique brand of preposterous pragmatism to festivals like the Halifax Comedy Festival, JFL 42, Field Trip Festival, North by Northeast and more. Her debut album, The Entire Cabbage was released in August 2021 and can be heard regularly on SiriusXM.

Since beginning his career in stand-up comedy four years ago, Clifton Cremo has been entertaining Canadian audiences with his deft brand of storytelling and wry absurdism. Clifton’s perspective on his Mi’kmaw upbringing and his unique outlook on First Nations issues brought him national attention by showing that no matter the divisiveness of an issue, humor can be a common ground.

Clifton was recently part of Rise Together with host Ron James – a Hurricane Fiona fundraiser that raised over $100,000 for the Cape Breton Red Cross. Clifton has also appeared at the Halifax Comedy Festival for CBC television in 2022 and 2023 in addition to being a part of their Best of the Fest tour in 2021. Clifton has also appeared on CBC Radio’s Laugh Out Loud. In March of this year, he recorded with Just for Laughs Originals as part of a compilation album scheduled to be released this summer. Clifton has also performed alongside some of Canada’s top comedians including opening for Kenny vs. Spenny, Jon Dore, and Nick Nemeroff.

Whether he’s onstage at a comedy club, a local bar, or even a funeral (seriously), Clifton always manages to bring the laughs.

Adam Myatt is a stand-up comedian, writer and artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was long-listed in the CBC Comedy Next Up competition, and has won Gold (2019) and Silver (2023) in the Best Of Halifax reader’s poll for Best Comedy Show. His first album, Adam Believes In Himself (Now), will be released on Comedy Records in 2024.

Originally hailing from PEI, Dan Hendricken is one of the top comics to come out of the Maritimes. He cut his teeth in comedy at the Yuk Yuk’s club in Halifax and in just a few short years was featured on CBC TV as part of the Halifax Comedy Festival. Dan has since gone on to tour all over the country as a headlining comic, even performing at the flagship Yuk Yuk’s in downtown Toronto. Dan has been seen on CBC TV and heard on CBC Radio (with CBC’s LOL) and has performed at the Halifax Comedy Festival and Hubcap Comedy festival. Fans find Dan charming and hilarious. He draws in the attention of every audience he performs in front of with his charm and likeability and keeps them laughing and entertained the whole time.

Get ready for a night of laugh-out-loud comedy. It’s the perfect way to say “so long” to winter!
