June 3

Join us for Fiction Fête! as we celebrate Atlantic fiction authors with a showcase of readings from the Atlantic Book Awards nominees!

Five Atlantic Canadian authors are nominated for the highly coveted Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award, a book prize valued at $30,000.

Joining us this afternoon to read from their nominated works are:

  • Renée Belliveau, A Sense of Things Beyond (Vagrant Press)
  • Jaime Burnet, milktooth (Vagrant Press)
  • Robert de la Chevotière, We Were Not Kings (Little A)
  • Danny Jacobs, The Ignis Psalter (Porcupine’s Quill)
  • Danica Roache, Five Seasons of Charlie Francis (Vagrant Press)

Hosted by Stephanie Domet (co-executive and co-artistic director of AfterWords Literary Festival). Stephanie Domet is the author of two novels, and is at work on a third. She lives in Halifax where she is a freelance writer and editor who teaches creative writing in her dining room to little kids, sews her own clothes, and absolutely wants to make you supper when you’re in town.

Good Dog Books will be on site selling copies of the nominated books.
