March Break Theatre Camp (2026)

Welcome to your Theatre School

For over 20 years, the Chester Playhouse has provided opportunities for young people to explore the world of acting, music, and performing with helping hands from professionals. While learning the art of acting and the craft of theatre, students can experience working both solo and as a part of a team. First time performers and returning students are welcome.

March Break Theatre Camp: The Snow Queen

Join us for a magical March Break theatre camp!

Participants will rehearse and perform a musical adaptation of The Snow Queen, the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen (which has inspired both Frozen and The Chronicles of Narnia!).

Throughout the week, campers will learn singing, acting, and choreography while working together to bring the story to life on stage, culminating in a performance on the final day of camp.

The Snow Queen follows Gerda, a brave and warm-hearted child, who sets off on a magical winter journey to find her best friend Kay after he is taken to the Snow Queen’s icy palace. Along the way, we meet many fun and mysterious characters, and discover that kindness, courage, and friendship are strong enough to thaw even the coldest magic.

Just as winter melts into spring, join us for this heartwarming story, perfect for celebrating the changing season!

Friends and family are welcome to join us for a showcase on the Friday, March 20th at 3pm
