En Pointe studios presents Pippi Longstockings, a musical adaptation and re-imagining of the Swedish classic by Astrid Lindgren, directed by Cynthia Myers.
Synopsis:
When Pippi receives a message in a bottle, she recruits her neighbor to help her find out who it’s from and what it says. Together they set out to rescue Pippi’s father Captain Olaf; stranded on a desert island in the south pacific. Along the way Pippi, The Polka Dot Horse, Mrs. Nielsen and the Triplets meet new friends, Sponge Bob, Capt. Jack sparrow–fight with pirates, enter a hula contest and finally reunite Pippy with her father.
This event is the final performance of the youth acting program held at En Pointe through the Winter/Spring of this year, and features young performers from this program.
