Explore working with dramatic text and build your acting muscles in this Scene Study Intensive for adult actors! 

Over the course of three successive Monday nights, participants will work intensively on scene study, character, listening, relationship, text, spontaneity, and stage presence.

This acting intensive is designed for adults with previous acting experience or participation in Chester Playhouse adult acting classes (or other actors with some experience), with approval from the instructor) who are committed to expanding their skills, confidence, and emotional range as actors. 

Join us for this fun, creative, and enriching class as you move “from page… to stage”!  

This class is intended for adults aged 19 and up.

This class will be held on the Chester Playhouse stage. The Chester Playhouse is accessible by lift. 

Dates: Mondays, June 15th, 22nd, and 29th.

6:30pm – 8:30pm. 

Fees: 

Deposit – $57 ($50 + tax, non-refundable) Balance due prior to first day of class.

Meet Your instructior

Kristina Nicoll

Kristina Nicoll is only too happy to share the joys and teachings of her 40\-year professional career as an actress of the Stage, Screen and VoiceOver.

Highlights include 5 years as leading lady at The Stratford Festival, as well as theatres coast to coast in Canada and on the world’s stages. Kristina’s world opened further when she was invited to be the Assistant Artistic Director at Tarragon Theatre in Toronto, where she embraced our national theatre community through her innovative approach to casting and her hands\-on involvement in new play development as dramaturge, director and producer. 

Kristina is a graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada, a past nominee for the Gina Wilkinson Emerging Female Director Award, and recipient of the Christopher Plummer International Fellowship at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Kristina is a sought out teacher and mentor for sharing what she has learned from the remarkable teachers she herself was blessed with.
